BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 4,409.3 metric tons (tonnes) of oolong tea in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 19.8 percent year on year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's oolong tea exports during the period amounted to about 39.17 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 65.2 percent year on year.
In March, 2018, China exported 1,556.5 tonnes of oolong tea, up 33.1 percent month on month and the value of China's oolong tea exports amounted to about 14.17 million U.S. dollars, up 83.7 percent month on month. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
