BEIJING, April 18 (Xinhua) -- China will offer a visa-free access to tourists from 33 more countries visiting the southern island province of Hainan, in a move to support the island’s reform and opening-up, the State Immigration Administration announced Wednesday.
The new policy will start from May 1, and it will benefit group or individual tourists via travel agencies from 59 countries.
Currently, visitors from only 26 countries enjoy visa-free access to Hainan.
The 59 countries are Russia, Britain, France, Germany, the United States, Canada, Norway, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Monaco, and Belarus.
