NANJING, Apr.12 (Xinhua) -- U.S. company Oliver Healthcare Packaging has opened a manufacturing facility in east China's Jiangsu Province.
The 68,000-square-foot plant, located in Suzhou City, boasts an estimated production value of over 100 million U.S. dollars every year, the company said on Tuesday.
The plant will focus on pouch making, roll stock conversion, die-cut lid manufacturing and mounting card production.
Besides manufacturing, the new facility will include a testing lab and technical service center, a microbiological lab, and warehouse and distribution facilities.
Brady Tong, General Manager of Asia for Oliver, said there is an increasing demand for high-quality healthcare, and the new facility in Suzhou will enhance the company's ability to serve the Asian market.
The company, a leading provider of sterile barrier flexible packaging for the global healthcare industry, opened a sales office in Suzhou in 2006.
