BEIJING, Apr. 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 61,323.7 metric tons (tonnes) of chicken and its products, an increase of 15.2 percent year on year from January to February this year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's chicken and its products exports during the period amounted to about 209.47 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 16.6 percent year on year.
In February, China exported 26,149.5 tonnes of chicken and its products, a decrease of 25.7 percent month on month and the value of China's chicken and its products exports amounted to about 88.31 million U.S. dollars, down 27.1 percent month on month.
According to the report, Japan ranked first by value in February, among all the countries and regions that import chicken and its products from China,with the chicken and its products import worth 41.83 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 20.2 percent year on year.
