BEIJING, Apr. 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 523.3 metric tons (tonnes) of pu-er tea in the first two months of the year, an increase of 47.2 percent year on year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's pu-er tea exports during the period amounted to about 4.46 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 117 percent year on year.
In February, 2018, China exported 149.4 tonnes of pu-er tea, down 60 percent month on month and the value of China's pu-er tea exports amounted to about 1.38 million U.S. dollars, down 55 percent month on month. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
