BEIJING, Apr. 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 1,147.9 metric tons (tonnes) of flavoured tea in the first two months of the year, an increase of 29.9 percent year on year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's flavoured tea exports during the period amounted to about 11 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 89.9 percent year on year.
In February, 2018, China exported 566.1 tonnes of flavoured tea, down 2.7 percent month on month and the value of China's flavoured tea exports amounted to about 4.3 million U.S. dollars, down 36.1 percent month on month.
According to the report, in February, Japan ranked first by value, among all the countries and regions that imported flavoured tea from China, with the flavoured tea imports worth about 1.14 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 198.8 percent year on year.
