BEIJING, Apr. 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 49,551.2metric tons (tonnes) of green tea in the first two months of the year, an increase of 15.9 percent year on year, according to a month report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's green tea exports during the period amounted to about 183 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 24 percent year on year.
In February, 2018, China exported 23,818.3 tonnes of green tea, down 7.4 percent month on month and the value of China's green tea exports amounted to about 84.6 million U.S. dollars, down 14.8 percent month on month.
According to the report, in February, Morocco ranked first by value, among all the countries and regions that imported green tea from China, with the green tea imports worth about 21.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 44.3 percent year on year. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
