BEIJING, Apr.2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 2,640.9 metric tons (tonnes) of Baijiu in the first two months of 2018, a decrease of 12.2 percent year on year, according to a month report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's Baijiu exports amounted to 61.513 million U.S. dollars in January to February, a decrease of 8.4 percent year on year. The average price was 23,292.2 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 4.3 percent year on year.
China exported 1,219.8 tonnes of Baijiu in February, 2018, a decrease of 14.2 percent month on month. The value of China's Baijiu exports amounted to 26.949 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 22.0 percent month on month. The average price is 22,093.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 9.2 percent month on month.
Compared with February 2017, there was an increase of 67.0 percent in quantity, an increase of 232.6 percent in value, and an increase of 99.1 percent in average price. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
