BEIJING, Apr. 2 (Xinhua) -- China exported 59,172.8 metric tons (tonnes) of tea in the first two months of the year, an increase of 13.6 percent year on year, according to a monthly report released jointly by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's tea exports during the period amounted to about 260 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 30.7 percent year on year.
In February, 2018, China exported 28,316 tonnes of tea, down 8.2 percent month on month and the value of China's tea exports amounted to 111 million U.S. dollars, down 25.3 percent month on month.
According to the report, in February, Morocco ranked first by value, among all the countries and regions that imported tea from China, with the tea imports worth about 44 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 14.9 percent year on year. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
