XI'AN -- An airplane of Chang An Airlines with the logo of a rosefinch took off from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport in China's Shaanxi Province in the morning of May 9.
This is the first flight the airline company launched since it was licensed to start civil aviation business by the CAAC Northwest Regional Administration.
According to the airliner, it will launch air routes to connect Xi'an with other cities along the Belt and Road, including airlines from Xi'an to Zhuhai in Guangdong Province and to Haikou in Hainan Province.
In the next one to five years, the company plans build an airline network centered in Xi'an amid fast growth of international traveler as China continues to push forward the Belt and Road Initiative.
