BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. (TEPC), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group, signed an EPC contract of a 300MW PV power plant project in Chad on January 19, according to sohu.com.
This is TEPC's first overseas PV EPC project.
TEPC signed the contract with the project owner, Blue Bay Chad. The project, next to the Djermaya Refinery of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in Chad, is 40km north from Ndjamena, capital of the country.
Its first phase is characterized by a planned capacity of 30MW. As the general EPC contractor of the project, TEPC has previously completed the initial preparations concerning the project, including design, model selection and comparison of key equipment, comparison of energy storage and non-energy storage, economic analysis of financing feasibility, etc.
