BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- China’s Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. recently has been discussing a project investment agreement with Investment Board Nepal (IBN) to invest 140 million U.S. dollars to set up a cement plant in Nepal, according to sohu.com.
The agreement will allow the company and the government of Nepal to carry out cooperation relating to the project.
The agreement marks another major investment in Nepal by Chinese cement company following the 359.2 million U.S. dollar project signed in September 2017 between Hongshi Holding Group Co., Ltd. and the Nepali government. The project with a 6,000 tonnes of cement per day production capacity is scheduled to put into commercial operation in May 2018.
