YANGON, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Bilateral trade between Myanmar and China hit 7.42 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months (April-November) of the present fiscal year 2017-18, official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Monday.
Myanmar's exports to neighboring China took 3.42 billion U.S. dollars while its imports represented 4 billion U.S. dollars, the Ministry of Commerce was quoted as saying.
In last FY 2016-17, bilateral trade between the two countries was 10.8 billion U.S. dollars.
Myanmar usually trades with China via Muse, Lweje, Kanpikete, Chinshwehaw and Kengtung border points.
The country's rice, peas, sesame seeds, corns, fruits and vegetable, dried tea leaves, fishery products, rubber, minerals and animal products are mainly exported to China, from where machinery, plastic raw materials, consumer products and electronic devices are imported. Enditem
