SHANGHAI, Dec. 6 (Xinhua)--Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau granted the Certificate of Origin Credit Visa, the first of its kind in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Shanghai FTZ), to Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. It is one of the 10 measures recently introduced to better serve the companies in Shanghai FTZ.
The Certificate of Origin Credit Visa, known as “paper of gold”, is regarded as an economic passport in international trade to enjoy tariff reduction and exemption.
“In the past, we had to apply for the certificate in China, and then send the paper certificate via express delivery to our foreign customers. Now, it is unnecessary for us to apply for paper certificate, and we can send the e-certificate abroad online. Therefore, our customs clearance efficiency has been enhanced a lot,” said Wang Jue, Executive Director & CFO of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (Group) Co., Ltd.
Besides the paperless credit visa system, other new measures include introducing one-stop service for companies’ registration and filing, establishing an intelligent service center in Zhangjiang cross-border technology and innovation center, supporting Pudong New Area to become the major market of imported consumer goods, introducing rating systems of inspection and quarantine risk classifications and pushing forward the protection of eco-origin products.
