WUHAN, Dec. 6 (Xinhua)--Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone of China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Hubei FTZ) Wuhan Area has carried out 17 categories of reforms in administrative approval and service, innovation and entrepreneurship, fin-tech and opening-up.
Since the operation of Hubei FTZ on April 1, Hubei Province has launched new measures to support trade facilitation, regulatory system and tax service innovation, and Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone has introduced dozens of policies concerning government administration, investment promotion, opening up and integration of culture, science and technology.
According to the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, it has taken an array of reform measures, including the launch of China’s first online verification system for enterprise registration information, the establishment of Wuhan intellectual property court, the establishment of China’s first innovation and entrepreneurship board for overseas returnees and the inspection site for meat import passing the acceptance check by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Moreover, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone has released a to do list of 378 matters involving the real estate, public security, government affairs, business administration and tax departments.
By the end of October, 5,665 new enterprises were registered in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone and the actual use of foreign investment amounted to 1.047 billion U.S. dollars, with an increase of 22.4 percent year on year.
