WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Amazon, the U.S. e-commerce and cloud computing giant, may reach one trillion U.S. dollars market value milestone within a year, said Morgan Stanley in a research note to clients this week.
Amazon's stock price has gained over 51 percent since the beginning of this year, and the current market capitalization is near 546 billion. Morgan Stanley reiterated its overweight rating for Amazon shares, and said its market value could be doubled by the end of 2018.
The research estimates that Amazon's first- and third-party core retail business will be worth 600 billion U.S. dollars. Amazon Web Services will be worth 270 billion dollars, with its Prime subscription revenue business worth 70 billion dollars and Amazon's ad business worth 55 billion dollars.
Amazon reported last month that its third-quarter revenue rose to 43.7 billion dollars, up 34 percent compared with the same quarter in 2016.
