BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) – China Economic Information Service (CEIS) under the Xinhua News Agency joins hands with the International Energy Agency (IEA) to release the report entitled Renewable Energy for Industry as part of its efforts to enhance study on renewables and further promote transformation of the energy industry, said Cao Wenzhong, vice president of CEIS, at the report’s press release held in Beijing on Thursday.

The report, written by Cédric Philibert, a senior analyst at Renewable Energy Division of IEA, is the latest research result of the IEA, and proposes a variety of current and forthcoming options to increase the uptake of renewables as one possible way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the industry sector.

According to Cao, apart from further efforts to develop renewables, cutting use of fossil fuel and emissions of greenhouse gas in traditional industries is another direction to transform the energy industry.

CEIS has closely tracked development of renewable energy industry for a long time, built professional team on energy information service and carried out in-depth studies on green energies in a bid to offer professional energy information and think-tank services for energy enterprises and institutions at home and abroad.

Cao Wenzhong added that Xinhua Silk Road information services of CEIS is positioned to offer all-around quality investment services to both domestic and foreign energy companies, facilitate cooperation between governments and enterprises and bridge China and the world. Information products from Xinhua Silk Road are set to prompt information sharing between domestic and overseas energy sectors and help build a community of shared future for developing green energies.
