BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Alibaba’s first overseas Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP) started operation on November 3 in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia.
Alibaba Group chairman Jack Ma said that Alibaba established the eWTP for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and young people to trade, seek financing, make payment and deliver goods worldwide.
He hoped that the platform would bring more opportunities for SMEs and the youth.
Analysts noted that eWTP’s launch marks the realization of Jack Ma’s idea of creating more convenient conditions for SMES in global trade.
