BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- China Economic Information Service (CEIS) under Xinhua News Agency and the International Energy Agency (IEA) jointly held a seminar on November 9, 2017 in Beijing, marking the global release of new IEA Insight Paper Renewable Energy for Industry.
Cedric Philibert, author of the report and senior analyst in the Renewable Energy Division of the IEA, attended the seminar and made a presentation to the audience.
Paul Simons, Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) sent a video message to the seminar. Cao Wenzhong, vice president of CEIS, made a keynote speech.
Representatives from over ten industry associations, enterprises and research institutes participated in follow-up discussions on implications and outlook of utilizing renewable energies in Chinese industries.
According to Simons, China is well set to push forward renewable energy for the industrial sector in an effort to meet clean technology needs and cut emissions across all sectors.
CEIS has closely tracked development of renewable energy industry for long time, built professional team on energy information service and carried out in-depth studies on green energies in a bid to offer professional energy information and think-tank services to energy enterprises and institutions at home and abroad, said Cao Wenzhong.
Cao added that Xinhua Silk Road information services of CEIS is positioned to offer all-around quality investment services to both domestic and foreign energy companies, facilitate cooperation between governments and enterprises and bridge China and the world. Information products from Xinhua Silk Road is set to prompt information sharing between domestic and overseas energy circles and help build a community of shared future for developing green energies.
