BRASILIA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, the largest in South America, will host the 13th edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for Latin Forum on March 13-15, 2018.
The commitment to host the event, one of the most important on the Latin American calender, was announced on Monday by Sao Paulo Governor Geraldo Alckmin and the city's mayor Joao Doria.
They also confirmed their attendance to the main WEF event, together with Brazilian President Michel Temer, next January in Davos, Switzerland.
This will mark the first time the forum takes place in Brazil since 2011, when it was held in Rio de Janeiro. The event will witness the participation of 750 leaders from around the world.
Next year's event will focus on three topics: the encouragement of responsible leadership and agile governance, the guarantee of economic progress for all and the potential improvements of the fourth industrial revolution. Enditem
