CHENGDU, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Shengshi Elevator that owns many core independent proprietary IPRs, launched its Shengshi Safe Elevator and exhibited three major technological achievements in a news conference on September 21 in Chengdu, Sichuan.
The three achievements are whole-function elevator sample, new concept food elevator and high-quality cargo elevator.
In the face of a market with huge potential and fierce international competition, Shengshi Elevator released an industrial development plan for its southwestern base to be established in Sichuan, and then to set up an export supply chain through Central and Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa, with the help of the Belt and Road Initiative.
“The safe elevators use the technique of ‘split nut, track linear kinematic pair’, built into an embedded lifting system, after nearly 20 years of research and development to replace the hoisting system used in traditional elevators,” announced Jin Xukai, the chief designer of Shengshi Elevator.
According to Jin, the elevator is equipped with UPS to ensure smooth operation up to 4-6 hours after power failure. The lift car has a manual lifting system that can promise a safe landing in case of a mechanical breakdown, getting stuck, power failure or fire emergency. In addition, the elevators’ sensor technology uses software that can remotely control the elevator, and diagnose potential problems in advance, which effectively eliminates any hidden snags that might endanger safe operation.
At the exhibition, it can be seen that the elevator needs very little space, as it has a simple structure with no bottom base trench, top machine room and cables.
Shengshi elevators can be widely used for old buildings that need elevators. At present, the aging problem is critical, as a growing number of senior citizens choose home-based care, but the old buildings they dwell in have no lifts.
Shengshi Elevator has created many innovative ways to install elevators in these old buildings, such as “installment between adjacent balconies”, “flat bed installment for passageway residents” and “installment at passageway’s rest area’, all of which can adapt to the challenges of buildings with complicated structures. It is reported that the comprehensive cost of Shengshi safe elevator produced in batches is only 60 percent to 70 percent of the traditional elevator, with an installment period of 15 to 20 days.
“Shengshi Elevator aims to build a famous national brand with a global reach,” said Jin Xukai, “our latest research findings have not only been awarded the highest prize in the global safe lifting area in the 116th International Inventions Exhibition held in May this year in Paris, but also gold prizes from the International Inventions Exhibitions held in Pittsburgh in the USA and then Nuremburg in Germany in 2016. Both exhibitions are regarded the most influential with the strictest appraisal standards.
Jin Xukai introduced the industrial planning and layout of their south-western base, to tackle the strong international competition. Shengshi Elevator would adopt the most prospective core design of dual-system, to fully integrate Chinese tradition with modern technology, and build an industrial park with Total Factor Industry 4.0 in Chengdu, which includes 4 smart systems, namely, production, lighting, transportation and ecology.
The Shengshi Elevator Total Factor Industry 4.0 International Smart Ecological Industrial Park is slated to be a new landmark in the manufacturing industry of Sichuan Province, upon its completion.
Jin Xukai said that the industrial park would encourage the upgrading of industrial structures and the development of local economy. Based in Sichuan, Shengshi Elevator will provide products to neighboring markets like Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and Guizhou.
