BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- China-based DJI, the world’s largest consumer drone producer, launched its brand new mini drone, Spark, during an event in New York on May 24.
Spark can record videos and photos, and is able to take off from and land on a human palm. In addition to utilizing remote control or smart phones to control the device, users at a close range can control it with gestures, instructing it to launch, land and even take a selfie.
But Spark is far from a professional video-recording drone because of its diminutive size. The camera is HD but doesn’t support 4K video, and the battery can only keep the drone airborne for 16 minutes at a time. (People's Daily Online)
