BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- In the state of Ohio, a brand new factory is humming away, producing windshields. Although this factory is in the US heartland and the workers are mostly American, this glass factory is owned by the Fuyao group from China.
As an example of true globalization, Fuyao is a Chinese-based company that has decided to locate wherever the company needs to be a global enterprise and support the global automotive industry.
US federal, state and local governments used incentives and tax breaks to draw Fuyao to Ohio. Setting up in the state has meant jobs for the local community, which has struggled in recent years as other factories have closed. Now 2,100 people work in the factory, a number expected to grow to 2,500. CGTN's Jim Spellman has the story from Moraine, Ohio. (CGTN)
