BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's major automaker FAW Group reported wholesale vehicle deliveries of 3.106 million units in 2016, up by 9.2 percent annually and hitting a record high.
The group has recorded total market sales of 3.147 million units last year, a growth of 10.9 percent from the previous year.
Last year, the group subsidiary FAW Jiefang had annual growth of 42.3 percent in wholesale vehicle deliveries. The subsidiary FAW Volkswagen sold over 1.9 million SUVs.
The group launched nine new products last year.
Founded in 1953 and headquartered in China's northeast Jilin Province, the state-owned FAW Group sells products in over 70 countries.
