PARIS, June 3 (Xinhua) -- China's environmental transition will create opportunities, a senior executive at Veolia, a French multinational giant of water, waste and energy management, has said.
The group's Senior Executive Vice President Asia, Regis Calmels, told Xinhua recently that the systematic measures for environmental protection under China's development plan for the period of 2016-2020 provides a chance for the group.
Calmels stressed the importance of Chinese market for his company's development, saying it will become "increasingly important because of its continued economic growth and ecological transition."
He said even if China's economic growth rate is not at the same level as in past years, it will still be a "very solid" rate, expressing confidence over China's economic growth.
These opportunities arising from China's environmental transition cover Veolia's various areas of expertise, ranging from hazardous or toxic waste treatment, to soil and water management, and the management of heat and energy performance, Calmels said. Enditem
