PARIS, May 3 (Xinhua) -- French transport facility manufacturer Alstom has won a business deal worth 150 million euros (163.62 million U.S. dollars) to supply 25 regional trains to Germany, the company said on Wednesday.
The leading firm in transport infrastructure and power generation will provide 25 Coradia Continental electric multiple units for the region of Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany, according to Alstom's statement.
The new order was part of an accord with DB Regio AG and Alstom signed in 2011 for the delivery of up to 400 Coradia Continental trains, it said.
Alstom will manufacture the trains in German city of Salzgitter, it added.
The French company, a multinational company operating worldwide in rail transport markets, employs over 31,000 workers in more than 60 countries. It posted 6.9 billion euros of sales in the 2015-2016 fiscal year. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollars) Enditem
