On Jan. 15, SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCOIII) completed constructing the external switch yard for Morocco Noor II and Noor III independent solar power plant project, laying a solid foundation for delivering auxiliary power.
In the following work, SEPCOIII’s relevant project department would contact with ACWA, the project owner, for energize qualification permission and create a good condition for delivering auxiliary power.
SEPCOIII and its parent company - Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) are responsible for civil work construction, conventional island equipment supply, as well as thermal storage system and peripheral system supply and installation.
Previously on May 8, 2015, PowerChina and SENER, a large project engineering and consultancy firm in Spain signed EPC contracts for the Noor II and Noor III independent solar power plant project. SENER is responsible for design, equipment supply and installation of the solar island.
Located in Noor solar park in Quarzazate of southeastern Morococo, the independent solar power plant has three phases, with their respective installed generating capacity at160MW, 200MW and 150MW.
