BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) - China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd.(CNEEC), a large power utility contractor, has inked an EPC contract for the “Sol Do Futuro” PV power station with its owner Brazilian contractor Steelcons on Dec. 23, 2016, according to a statement posted by CNEEC on its website.
The solar farm, located in Aquiraz on the northeast coast of Brazil, is a clean energy project promoted by the government of Brazil.
Li Nengzhi, executive director of CNEEC, said the company determined to complete the project well and valued the future long-term cooperation with Steelcons in clean energy engineering sector.
Li hoped that via their joint efforts, a highly-efficient, practical and reliable cooperation mechanism could be established between CNEEC and Steelcons in clean energy engineering project construction in Brazil.
Upon completion, the PV power station is anticipated to help ease Brazilian grid’s overreliance on hydropower generation. Enditem (Edited by Duan Jing, duanjing@xinhua.org)
