Huafengweiye signs contract to provide technical guidance for operation of Thailand NPP9 unit

Abstract : Chinese power tech firm Qingdao Huafengweiye Electric Power Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. (Huafengweiye) has inked an operation technical guidance contract with the owner of Thailand NPP9 biomass power station on Dec. 26, 2016.

Chinese power tech firm Qingdao Huafengweiye Electric Power Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. (Huafengweiye) has inked an operation technical guidance contract with the owner of Thailand NPP9 biomass power station on Dec. 26, 2016.

The biomass power station, located in the 304 industrial park in Tha Toom, Srimahaphot district of Prachin Buri province in Thailand and with installed generating capacity of 1×135MW, is constructed by China Datang Technologies & Engineering Co., Ltd. as the EPC contractor during May 28, 2013 and March 30, 2015.

Huafengweiye, subsidiary of SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corporation, are responsible for the system and whole generating set commissioning work.

At the end of July, 2016, Huafengweiye handed over the unit to its owner – Thailand paper manufacturer Double A for commercial operation, after a smooth 168-hour trial running.

For Huafengweiye, concluding the technical guidance contract carries its cooperation with Double A further.

Thailand NPP9 1×135MW biomass generating set is designed to generate 950 million kwh of electricity annually, which can save about 500,000 tonnes of coal a year.
