BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- China 22MCC Group Corporation (22MCC Group), a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group Corporation, on Dec. 12 kicked off the construction of Uganda International Capacity Cooperation Industrial Park project.
The industrial park consists of a 1 mtpa tailings treatment project, a 100 ktpa phosphate fertilizer plant project, a 300 ktpa steel mill, a 15 tpy micro powder project, a 200 tpy glass factory project and a brickyard project with a designed annual capacity of 100 million pieces, according to 22MCC Group, which is the EPC general contractor for the industrial park.
The industrial park is Uganda’s largest industrial project in terms of single investment and the steel plant within the park is expected to be the largest steel plant in Uganda. Enditem (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
