BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corporation (SEPCOIII), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina), has completed concreting foundation for the gas turbine generator (GTG) 21 of the Ibri power plant project in Oman.
Located 27 kilometers northwest of the city of Ibri, the project, involving a total investment of about 1.95 billion U.S. dollars by ACWA Power, Mitsui and DIDIC, is intended to enter commercial operation on April 1, 2019.
Before its planned formal operation, four single-cycle gas turbines will be commercially operational from April 1, 2018.
A consortium consisting of SEPCOIII and PowerChina is the EPC contractor of the project responsible for its design, equipment supply, construction and commissioning. Enditem (Edited by Duan Jing, duanjing@xinhua.org)
