The Accra-Tema expressway phase-I project in Ghana, undertaken by the group’s Sinohydro Bureau 8 Co., Ltd., officially commenced recently.
The Accra-Tema expressway phase-I project, located between Ghana’s capital and its largest port Tema, is one of the nation’s transportation hubs.
The former two-way, four-lane route can no longer meet current traffic and transport requirements.
The project is mainly aimed at expanding the existing two-way, four-lane expressway to a two-way six-lane one, including the widening of the roundabout and construction and maintenance of access roads.
The Accra-Tema expressway phase-I project is the first road project undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 8 Co., Ltd. in West Africa, and the third project in Ghana in 2016.
