BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC, 000758.SZ) and India’s Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) signed an engineering procurement construction (EPC) contract of processing 160,000 tonnes of zinc slag per year in Udaipur city of India on November 8.
The contract is valued at 82 million U.S. dollars with a term of 18 months since the date of construction.
The HZL is affiliated with the London Stock Exchange listed Vedanta Group holding company, which is mainly engaged in zinc, lead, silver and other metals . It is one of the world's largest zine producers.
The project is the third one NFC cooperated with HZL following the 100,000 tonnes per year Dariba lead plant project and the SK shaft and mine development project. (Edited by Yang Qi, kateqiyang@xinhua.org)
