BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group announced recently that it has signed an EPC contract on a 50 megawatts photovoltaic (PV) project with Saudi Arabia-based power and water project developer ACWA Power.
The project will be located in Mafraq Development Area, which is situated about 70 km north of Amman, capital of Jordan.
The construction of the project was expected to begin in May next year.
The signing of this contract is a landmark move by CPECC Northwest Electric Power Design Institute to explore the international market under the “Belt and Road” initiative and the “going out “strategy.
