BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The trade volume of China's e-commerce market reached 13.35 trillion RMB (USD2.03 trillion) in the first half of 2017, up 27.1 percent on a year-on-year basis, says a report released by China E-Commerce Research Center on Sept. 19, China News reported.

The report says that the trade volume of China's B2B market, B2C market, and life services market reached 9.8 trillion RMB, 310 million RMB, and 45 million RMB, respectively, during the period.

China's e-commerce market continued to grow rapidly in the first half of 2017, with policy support strengthened and system improvements, said Zhang Zhouping, a senior analyst at the center.

Zhang added that as China is entering a brand new era of consumption upgrading, the country's e-commerce is creating new consumption needs and bringing another wave of investment.

According to the report, China's e-commerce service enterprises have directly and indirectly provided more than 3.1 million and 23 million jobs by June, 2017.

However, the report also points out that a large number of employees are still needed in rural e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce markets.
