BEIJING, Dec.30 (Xinhua) – China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC)’s first natural gas regional sales unit is about to open on January 1 of 2017 in south China’s Guangzhou, according to a news release by CNPC.
CNPC in late November carried out reform for its natural gas sales system and planed a two-level management structure – the natural gas sales branch and natural gas regional sales unit.
Natural gas sales branches would be responsible for management and operation and five major regional sales units would act as affiliations.
The to-be-revealed southern unit has completed registration and independent accounting after two months’ preparations.
The southern unit would cover natural gas sales businesses in Guangdong, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hainan and Hong Kong that previously owned by West-to-East natural gas transmission sales company, involving 113 downstream users of which gas sales being estimated to reach 10.7 billion cubic meters for 2016.
