HELSINKI, June 12 (Xinhua) -- The Finnish center-right coalition government is disintegrating as centrist Prime Minister Juha Sipila and conservative Finance Minister Petteri Orpo announced on Monday that the possibility of co-operation with the populist Finns Party no longer exists.
The decision by the two parties followed a meeting on Monday morning with the newly elected chairman of the Finns Party Jussi Halla-aho, known for his strong anti-EU and anti-immigration line.
Halla-aho was elected as chairman of Finns Party on Saturday.
The current coalition government comprising the three major parties started in May 2015.
Sipila will talk to the media at 5 p.m. local time.
