VIENTIANE, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The World Bank Office in Vientiane has presented the bank's Partnership Framework for Laos 2017-2021, local daily Vientiane Times reported on Thursday.
The new partnership framework between Laos and the World Bank focuses on opportunities for all, sustained green growth, and improved access to human and infrastructure services, the report said.
The new framework, presented on Wednesday, was developed following nationwide consultations here with government, academia, civil society, development partners and the private sector.
"This partnership framework builds on our existing strong relationship, ongoing for more than 50 years," said Kikeo Chanthabouly, deputy minister of Lao Planning and Investment.
"It will continue to support the overarching goals of the Lao government's Eighth National Socio-Economic Development Plan (NSEDP)," Kikeo Chanthabouly added.
