TBILISI, May 18 (Xinhua)-- The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China will create possibilities for Georgia to attract investment, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said here on Thursday.
"We have signed FTAs with neighboring countries as well as with the EU. It makes Georgia very attractive for investments," Kvirikashvili said.
The prime minister said Georgia considers its FTA with China to be of utmost significance for attracting investment and developing an export-oriented industry.
"From our point of view, this is an important step forward," Kvirikashvili said.
Under the FTA inked between Georgia and China in Beijing on May 14, the two countries agreed to expand cooperation in the trade of goods and services. The FTA will take effect at the end of 2017 or early 2018.
