BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) – China's Xinhua News Agency announces on May 9 that its Xinhua Silk Road information service platform will be opened to cooperation with all participants of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Xinhua made the announcement on the eve of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation scheduled for May 14-15 in Beijing, the capital of China.
For the coming forum, Xinhua has upgraded its Xinhua Silk Road, an information platform launched in mid-2015 and dedicated to serving the Belt and Road construction, into an Internet concept-based one that provides not only information services but also investment consulting and think tank services.
Most importantly, the platform is opened to all participants of the Belt and Road construction, home and abroad. Institutions with sources that may be helpful for Belt and Road construction are welcome to publicize their information on Xinhua Silk Road and communicate and do business via the platform, all free of charge, said Kuang Lecheng, vice president of China Economic Information Service (CEIS), a wholly owned company of Xinhua and also the owner and developer of Xinhua Silk Road.
The renewed Xinhua Silk Road platform adds blocks clustering Belt and Road-related research results of domestic and overseas leading think tanks while shares with users economic data of countries and regions along the Belt and Road and business and investment opportunities around the world, said Li Yue, head of the Xinhua Silk Road Department of CEIS.
It also specializes in providing online full-process consultancy and offline one-stop service for Chinese enterprises going abroad. For example, Xinhua Silk Road joined the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine launching a Belt and Road quality inspection information platform, which provides enterprises with analysis, research and training services based on latest overseas regulations on market access, export risk alerts, WTO bulletin and review, etc.
Taking the advantage of global information collection and release sources of Xinhua, Xinhua Silk Road also provides personalized products and services covering all aspects of Belt and Road construction, such as helping go-overseas enterprises build images abroad, training spokesman and monitoring overseas projects.
CEIS chairman Xu Yuchang noted that the renewed Xinhua Silk Road has gone through deep adjustments under the new circumstance of Belt and Road construction, and it is able to become a global comprehensive information service platform for Belt and Road construction that gathers information, integrates resources and shares benefits.
