ACCRA, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's headline consumer inflation rate for February slid to 13.2 percent year-on-year, down from 13. 3 percent recorded in January, the country's Statistical Bureau announced Wednesday.
The monthly change rate for the month under review was 0.6 percent, compared with 2.8 percent in January.
"The inflation rate of 13.2 percent in February 2017 is the lowest since December 2013," Baah Wadieh, Acting Government Statistician, told the media.
According to him, food inflation with a 43.9-percent share in the inflation basket was 7.1 percent in February, compared with 7.0 percent in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the non-food inflation with 56.1 percent share in inflation basket experienced a dip to record 16.4 percent in February, down from 16.6 percent in January.
