KIEV, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine is counting on receiving the fourth tranche worth 1 billion U.S. dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by the end of this month, local media reported Tuesday.
Loca reports quoted Finance Minister Alexander Danylyuk as said that the decision on the next disbursement from the 17.5-billion-dollar bailout program will be adopted during the meeting of the IMF executive board in late March.
Kiev and the IMF have already approved the new memorandum that paves the way for allocation of the aid, Danylyuk told reporters after his talks with representatives of the fund. He also said the document includes provisions for the implementation of pension, farmland and banking sector reforms in Ukraine.
The IMF executive board approved the four-year bailout program for Ukraine in March 2015 to help the troubled country carry out reforms and boost its economic development.
Since then, the IMF has provided Kiev with 7.7 billion dollars in three disbursements of the financial support.
