TIRANA, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- The main problems that foreign investors encounter in Albania are related to courts, corruption, frequent changes to legislation and tax procedures as well as informality, the business climate survey 2016 showed Thursday.
The survey conducted by the Association of Foreign Investors in Albania (FIAA) highlighted that foreign investors operating here want consistency, transparency and the rule of law, local media said.
Some 70 large businesses operating in Albania responded to the survey saying more should be done to improve the current businesses climate.
After the publication of the survey, Albanian Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj said investor expectations are increasing year by year. He added that the state had no outstanding debts to foreign businesses, which he considered a positive sign of cooperation between government and foreign business. Enditem
