SARAJEVO, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) amounted to 9.417 billion KM (5.142 billion U.S. dollars) in 2016, registering a year-on-year increase of 4.8 percent, local media reported on Saturday.
According to data from BiH Agency for Statistics, imports during the same period reached 16.139 billion KM, up 1.8 percent year-on-year.
The European Union (EU) is the most important trade partner for BiH.
Exports to EU countries amounted to 6.734 billion KM in 2016, up 4.4 percent year-on-year, while imports from EU totaled 9.923 billion KM, up 2.9 percent year-on-year.(1 U.S. dollar = 1.83 KM)
