UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Venezuela on international affairs, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi here on Wednesday.
Wang made the remarks while meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Delcy Rodriguez on the sidelines of a series of UN General Assembly high-level events.
China expects the two nations to stay united, jointly overcome difficulties and achieve their respective national development goals, said Wang.
China has been paying great attention to its relations with Venezuela. It is willing to deepen and enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all fields with the Latin American country, Wang said.
Rodriguez voiced appreciation for China's support for Venezuela during difficult times, saying that China has set an example for Venezuela on development.
Venezuela is willing to further expand cooperation with China and is going to maintain close communication and collaboration with China on international affairs, she said. Enditem
