China Three Gorges Corporation signs Myanmar's 1st wind power project
BEIJING, Mar. 3 (Xinhua) -- China Three Gorges Corporation signed a wind power project agreement with Myanmar on Monday, the first of its kind Myanmar, reported the corporation on Wednesday.
The Chaungtha project, located in Irrawaddy of Myanmar, is the first wind power project promoted by Myanmar government and has been recommended as demonstration project in electric power cooperation between the two courtiers.
The project plans to develop an installed capacity of 30MW in the first phase, which will enrich the energy structure in Myanmar and partly solve the electricity problem for local residents. (Edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
