SINGAPORE, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Ministry of National Development said on Thursday it will set aside 150 million Singapore dollars for an initiative aimed at building a highly liveable, sustainable and resilient city of the future.
The Cities of Tomorrow Program's vision will be achieved through integrated development of research and development (R&D) in four key verticals - advanced construction, resilient infrastructure, new spaces, and greater sustainability.
It will be a collective effort where stakeholders from industry, research community, and government will come together to work in tandem to develop innovative R&D solutions to address key challenges, such as climate change, aging infrastructure, resource constraints and demand for space, according to the ministry.
