BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) -- China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is soliciting public opinions on the draft guideline for industrial robot management, as part of its efforts to promote the sustainable and healthy development of the country’s industrial robot sector, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Tuesday.
According to the draft guideline, provincial departments of industrial and information technology and centrally-administrated state-owned enterprises should carry out spot checks on local enterprises and in principle, spot checks should be conducted at least once every two years.
The guideline also put forward specific requirements for merger and acquisition (M&A) applications of industrial robot companies.
