BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- China allocated 3.6 trillion yuan (530 billion U.S. dollars) to education in 2015, marking 10-percent growth year on year.
Of the investment, 2.92 trillion yuan was from the national treasury, accounting for 4.26 percent of the nation's GDP, according to figures jointly released by the Ministry of Education, National Bureau of Statistics and Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
China has invested more than 4 percent of its GDP in the education sector in the four consecutive years since 2012.
Public expenditures in both high schools and secondary vocational schools in 2015 increased by 20 percent from the previous year, according to the figures. Enditem
