BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a development plan for the nonferrous metals industry during the period from 2016 to 2020 recently.
Accoring to the plan, research and development (R&D) expenditure of key nonferrous metals companies will account for overone percent of their main business income by the end of 2020.
In 2015, the industrial added value of the nonferrous metals industry increased 10 percent year on year.
During the 13th Five-year Plan period (2016-2020), China will accelerate structural adjustment and industrial updating for the nonferrous metal industry and at the same time, improve product quality and working efficiency. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
